Bike and Trail Club Information


Biking The Hamilton County Bike & Trail Group is a new organization as of 2007. The purpose of the group is to promote bicycle safety and to promote the development of bike trails. More information will be posted as it becomes available and as the group continues to organize.

January 20th, 2009 (Tuesday) at 6:00 pm at the Ellsworth Gym

This meeting, to be hosted by Brian Lammers of the Hamilton County Conversation Board, will primarily focus on an existing railroad corridor between the towns of Jewell and Ellsworth. The current railroad status of this corridor and possible funding opportunities for acquisition, construction, and routes will be discussed. This meeting is open to the public and all those interested in the trail are encouraged to attend.

May 7, 2008 (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. at South Hamilton High School

Anyone interested in promoting safety, trails, and healthy activities is invited to attend. Brian Lammers will give an update on the trails in the county. The Club will then sort the bike helmets and safety information that are to be given to all the third graders throughout the county schools. The club will also talk about promotion of the club at the different celebrations throughout the county. You are invited and encouraged to attend.
