Jewell offers a 5-year Tax Abatement on new single dwelling homes built in the city limits of Jewell. Residents should apply at the Jewell City Hall and the request must be approved by the City Council.
Please note that tax must still be paid on the value of the lot. In addition, if improvements are made on the property within the five-year tax abatement, the owner must pay tax on the improvement.

The city of Jewell has developed a Tax Increment Finance (T.I.F) District within the City Limits in most Commercial/Industrial areas.
The City of Jewell may invest as much as $1 Million Dollars into NEW Commercial/Industrial Development to help with infrastructure development within the City Limits. The money could be used for streets, sewer, lighting, water, or other infrastructure enhancements.
