Ways to Enter
- download Entry Form or pick one up at Julie's Designs (723 Main St.)
- mail completed entry form to Jewell 5k Run c/o Julie's Designs, 723 Main St., Jewell, IA 50130
- email entry information here and pay entry fee the day of the race
- Enter on race day at the race booth near the starting line (registration will be open from 4:00-5:30 p.m.)
The $15 entry fee includes a race t-shirt, drinks after
the race and a meal ticket to the 'all-you-can-eat BBQ' on Main Street. What a deal! Please
make checks payable to "The Shed".

New for 2010 - Kids Fun Runs!
Kids races will start after the 5K is over, approiximately 6:45 p.m. Parent can bring their child(ren) to the registration table to enter them in their age group. The races will be for kids ges 3-10 years old with the race divisions being 3-4 year-olds, 5-6 year-olds, 7-8 year-olds, 9-10 year-olds.

The Jewell Lions Club invites you to help us celebrate our annual Jewell Jubilee Parade on Saturday, June 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. If you'd like to participate in the parade, please complete the application and return by June 8, 2010. (address is on the form)

Berry Good Bake-Off
The theme for this year's bake-off is "Make a Splash - Read!"
The bake-off will be held Friday, June 11th, for participants in kindergarten through 4th grade. Entries are to be submitted to the library between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. with judging at 2:45 p.m. Children may enter any or all of the following categories:
- Silly Sea Serpent
- My Favorite Fish
- Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Pre-registration required by June 9th! All children receive prizes!
Main Street BBQ
This year the Main Street Barbeque will be held on Friday, June 11th, from 5:00 8:00 p.m. Jewell's
Main Street will be blocked off and picnic tables will be setup in the parking area. There's always
a big crowd so if you can bring your own seating, please do!
The menu is turkey, pork, or beef sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, fresh fruit, and a drink.
Prices for this All-You-Can-Eat BBQ: Adults $7.00, children 6-12 $3.00, and children under 6 are free. The Boy Scouts will be serving pop and collecting the empty cans.
In case of rain, we will move to the South Hamilton High School cafeteria.
Tickets can be purchased at First American Bank, Family Pharmacy, or at the barbeque.
Kiddie Parade
On Friday, June 11th, at 5:30 p.m. will be a Kiddie Parade geared especially for the children ages 0 - 4th grade.
Meet at Jewell Farm and Home in the parking lot. All kids will receive a goody bag! For more information, contact Allison Hassebrock at 827-6120.
This event is sponsored by Sweet Treats, Anderson Meat and Grocery, Montgomery Memorial Library, and Woolstock Equipment.
Princess Party!
The SH Dance Team will be dressing as some of your favorite Princesses!
Visit the First American Bank on Friday, June 11th, in the basement of the bank from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. You can color a Princess picture, get a princess tattoo, stickers, a crown, a cookie, and have your picture taken with a Princess!
We're giving back for all of your support! Prizes available while they last.
Dean the Juggler and Magic Mark
On Saturday, June 12th, several entertaining acts will be performing at the Jewell City Park.
- 11:00 a.m. Dean the Juggler
- 12:00 p.m. ISU Wildlife Clinic
- 12:30 p.m. Magic Mark - tricks and illusions
ALL the performances, including a clown and doves, are FREE for all ages!
Free Swimming
FREE swimming at the Jewell Pool on Saturday, June 11th, to celebrate Jewell Jubilee!
