Community & Meeting Room at the Jewell Library
The Montgomery Memorial Library has a community room in the back of the library. The room has a separate entrance to the outside. Use of the library community room shall be available to various community groups.
To reserve the room: call or stop in to see if the room is available on that date. If the meeting is after hours, you will have to come in and get a key. Leave the meeting room as you found it.
Charges to use the community room:
- Children/youth groups with adult leadership - No Charge
- Local non-profit groups - No Charge
- Local service groups - No Charge
- Free educational programs - No Charge
- Educational programs with charge - Fee of $25.00
- Local adult groups - $10.00 Donation
- For profit (business) groups - Fee of $25.00;
- Parties - Fee of $25.00
- Political functions - Fee of $25.00
- Church services - Fee of $25.00
A fee of $25.00 will be charged if the kitchen facilities are used extensively.
If damages are incurred by a group, the group will be assessed for repair costs.
If a library key is lost, the party responsible will be assessed the cost of new locks and keys (est. cost $150.00).
Groups using the community room will use the back entrance except when handicapped accessibility is necessary.
The library is a smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted in any area of the building. This includes the community room and the bathroom.
