Our Mission
The mission of the Montgomery Memorial Library is to promote enlightened citizenship, enrich personal lives, and meet informational, cultural, recreational, educational, and informational needs of the community by providing, promoting and supporting a wide variety of materials, programs and services, including reference and interlibrary loan services.

History
The library first opened its doors in 1945 when E.W. Montgomery, a local resident, left a portion of his estate to "establish a modern free public library" in Jewell. It's been serving the residents of Jewell and Hamilton County ever since.
